Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for your personal data is an individual operating under the Telemetrix Network project:

No company has been incorporated yet. The data controller is acting as a private individual. This policy will be updated when a legal entity is established.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary:
- Email address — provided by you when joining the waitlist.
- Consent timestamp — the date and time you agreed to this policy, recorded automatically on submission.
- Sign-up timestamp — the date and time your entry was created in our database.
- Analytics data — collected automatically via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) when you visit the site. This includes approximate location (derived from anonymised IP address), device type, browser, pages visited, and interaction events (e.g. button clicks, form interactions). Your full IP address is never stored.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, or payment information. We do not use advertising or retargeting scripts.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis
We process data for two distinct purposes, each with its own legal basis:
Waitlist communications
- To notify you when the Telemetrix Network product launches or reaches significant milestones.
- To send occasional behind-the-scenes updates about the project (very infrequently, no spam).
Legal basis: your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the checkbox on the sign-up form. You may withdraw at any time.
Website analytics
- To understand how visitors interact with the page (page views, CTA clicks, form funnel).
- To improve the website experience and measure the effectiveness of our content.
Legal basis: your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit. GA4 operates in a restricted, cookieless mode until consent is granted. You may withdraw consent at any time by declining or clearing your browser's local storage. You may also block GA4 entirely using the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Data Retention
Your email address will be retained until:
- You request deletion (see Section 5 below), or
- The Telemetrix Network product officially launches and waitlist notifications have been sent, after which waitlist data will be deleted, or
- The project is discontinued.
We will not retain your data longer than necessary for the stated purpose.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
Right of Access (Art. 15)
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16)
You may request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to Erasure / "Right to be Forgotten" (Art. 17)
You may request deletion of your data at any time via our unsubscribe form or by emailing us.
Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18)
You may request that we restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20)
You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7)
You may withdraw your consent at any time without giving a reason. This will not affect the lawfulness of past processing.
6. How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of your rights, you can:
- Use the self-service unsubscribe form to have your email deleted immediately.
- Email us at tibi@telemetrix.network for any other request (access, portability, rectification, etc.).
We will respond to requests within 30 days as required by GDPR.
7. Data Security
Your email address is stored in a self-hosted PostgreSQL database (Supabase) running on a private virtual server located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). The server is operated exclusively by the data controller. Row Level Security is enabled; public access is restricted to insert-only operations. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Your data never leaves the European Union.
8. Infrastructure & Third-Party Processors
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
The website and database run on a virtual private server in the Frankfurt region, Germany (EU). Oracle acts as an infrastructure provider under standard data processing terms. No application-level data (such as your email address) is accessible to Oracle.
Google Analytics 4 — Google LLC
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data. GA4 sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) in your browser to distinguish sessions. This data is processed by Google LLC, which may involve transfers to the United States. Google processes this data under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as a safeguard for international transfers under GDPR Article 46. IP anonymisation is enabled; your full IP address is never stored. Analytics data is not linked to your email address and is never used to identify you as an individual. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Your email address is not shared with any third party. No email marketing platform or advertising network has access to your data.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority. Examples include:
- France: CNIL — cnil.fr
- Germany: BfDI — bfdi.bund.de
- Netherlands: AP — autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl
- Spain: AEPD — aepd.es

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the project evolves (e.g., when a legal entity is formed). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. If material changes are made, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email before they take effect.
